SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION
Between June 15-17, 2022, the three-day scientific expedition, took place at the Tropaeum Traiani fortress in Adamclisi (Constanța County, Romania), part of the activities within the project BSB 867 Black Sea Archaeology, History and Culture Portal (ARHICUP).
The activity was attended by experts from Nessebar (Hristo Bogdanov, project manager; Andon Nenov, IT specialist; Ilian Radanov, video operator), from the Museum of National History and Archeology Constanța (Dr. Cristina Talmațchi, project partner manager; Dr. Constantin Șova, responsible for technical aspects; Dr. Gabriel Mircea Talmațchi, scientific manager of the archaeological site) and from the National Museum of History of Moldova (PhD student Mariana Vasilache, project partner manager; Dr. Denis Topal, expert) – project partners.
The joint expedition had an extremely practical focus: gaining skills and experience in working with the newly acquired mobile scanning station, for 3D scanning of historical landmarks. The digitization included 3D reconstructions of parts of the archeological site. The registrations will become part of the resources of the modern online web platform developed within the project. At the same time, a documentary was made.
